We have been using auto sub since December of 2020. There is alot of room for improvement in this area, our out of the box options to maximize effectiveness is limited. The enhancement requests I have proposed will add more logic and expand use of the auto sub feature.
Enhancement Request#66322 - https://ers.infor.com/Ers/SoHoXi/Request/XiDetails.aspx?ced=true&erID=66322&AER=false&tbv=1 this will allow one item to sub another item even if their UOM's don;t match. For example one item is ordered in PK and another in BX. We can have a UOM conversion option so that when the original item is ordered in PK the auto sub will switch it to the new item in BX.
Enhancement Request#66915 - https://ers.infor.com/Ers/SoHoXi/Request/XiDetails.aspx?ced=true&erID=66915&AER=false&tbv=1 this will be a radio button that we can select to "disable auto sub if stock on hand" so that if stock comes in the system will automatically shut down the auto sub process for the item. We can turn this function on or keep off based on our need.
Enhancement Request#67727 - https://ers.infor.com/Ers/SoHoXi/Request/XiDetails.aspx?ced=true&erID=67727&AER=false&tbv=1 this will allow us the option to assign a vendor/purchase from to default to when using auto-sub. This great expanded usability makes it so that any order for the subbed item is created for the new item using the desired vendor/purchase from combination.
Enhancement Request 67725 - https://ers.infor.com/Ers/SoHoXi/Request/XiDetails.aspx?ced=true&erID=67725&AER=false&tbv=1 this will allow us to designate the auto sub to sub for only inventory or only non-stock transactions. Right now if we auto sub for an inventory item it prevents us from ordering the subbed item from the vendor which is not good, because sometimes if you see or alerted to stock you need to buy it up. Typically the workaround is to shut off the autosub then add to the PO. This new functionality though will allow non-stock orders to bypass auto sub if selected, and auto sub to still be in place for inventory orders.
Please review and endorse these new auto sub functions, they will make auto sub more user friendly and effective!
