Option t update purchase order Proposal status

Is there any way I can update the purchase order proposal status.? 

Our MEC mapping initially execute PPS170.CrtPOP. I intend to set the status of the proposal to 20 so that it will not be processed by MMS940 job as there are still other API that I need to execute before releasing the status proposal. Is there any way I can update the status of the proposal from 20 to 60 using other APIs? 

Our M3 version is 15.1.4 where the  PPS170.UpdPOP is not available.

One option would be to create a NEW (identical) PO Proposal using CrtPOP with the desired Status and then delete the previous one with DelPlannedPO
