Work Around:Employee Life and Dependent Life would need to be set up as a different plan type (HL, DN, or VS) to allow for continuation. This would cause confusion as plan type is heavily used on interfaces and reports. It would also require a plan change from their employee plan to a separate COBRA plan causing a need for manual intervention.
Proposed Solution:Remove the limitation on COBRA Eligibility to organizations can offer coverage to all benefit plans to COBRA Participants as they require. This should not impact organizations that do not have this requirement as they have the option to not select COBRA coverage by plan as they require. This will continue the flexibility in plan set and COBRA functionality as currently exists in Lawson HR Benefits.
