RQC Search by Item Description 3

Hello,  Can anyone on FSM tell me if in RQC the description 3 from an item set up is included in the search when users are looking for an item?  In v10, we are finding that when users search in RQC, it only returns results from verbiage in fields Description 1 & 2 from IC11.

Yes, Description 3 can be searched. There are a couple of places that you have to set it up, but it is searched. Here is the full list:

The Search Catalog is used to look for keywords in the database that match the search string you specified in the search box

For Items, the keyword search index is built on these fields in the Item or related vendor item:

• Item
• Reference1
• Reference2
• Description
• Description 2
• Long Description (Description 3)
• Generic Name
• Freight Class
• Major/Minor Purchasing Class
• Major/Minor Inventory Class
• Major/Minor Sales Class
• Item Manufacturer Number
• Vendor Item
• Vendor Item Description
• Vendor Item Manufacturer Number
