Business Engine Configuration Data tool vs Business Engine Data Management tool

Hi,

As much as I have found documentation detailing what is allowed with the BE Data Management. menu, I have not found explicit writings on what BE Configuration Data   covers.

 

So I wonder what is meant by "Configuration Data  " and is not supported by the program BE Data Management

Is there anything more detailed that really identifies what is called configuration data? What does the 'BE Configuration Data' menu do that the 'BE Management Data' menu does not?
I can't understand what configuration data is because some configuration tables in M3 can be processed by the 'BE Management Data' menu?
Is it all the tables that do not have the CONO field ?

@dmarette : I have been using BE Configuration data extensively to promote configuration or to move configuration between companies in one M3CE environment or moving configuration between different environments like TST to TRN, TRN to PRD so on and so forth.

What is this configuration data? In my case all the configuration settings for IDM programs CMS005, CMS006,CMS007 etc etc can be exported as  a single configuration file which is in XML format. Since I have worked only with IDM side of things in M3CE. My experience involves only these configuration programs. All the exported configuration can be seen in MNS200 program in M3. 

BE Management Data only involves all the M3 data tables. These can be all M3 table with or without CONO. For example, CMNUSR table can be accessed in BE Management data menu. BE Management data allows to check the data in M3 tables. 

The more you use these menu the more clarity it give.
