GHR interfaces to Benefit providers

Is anyone sending files to their benefit providers? The HIPAA 834 interface in the Benefits module seems very basic and I am not sure it meets all the requirements for our vendors. We also have some interfaces that are not HIPAA and would need to be developed. If you have interfaces, did you use a Infor consulting partner for setup? If so, who?

I am also looking to connect with others using the Benefits module to understand how you are dealing with some limitations I am encountering and other questions.

We are sending files from GHR to our benefit providers. All of ours have been developed in house using IPA and do not use the HIPPA format. If you are looking for an Infor partner to assist, I would suggest talking with Intellias.

Every Benefit vendor wants something different in their file, so the HIPAA 834 format is usually not enough. Infor's encouragement these days is for you to use the newer File Creation Utility tool to build your Benefit vendor files with. Bails recently trained a client on this tool and they were able to build out 11 benefit vendor files during the implementation using FCU.

Yes it is a utility created specifically for GHR to extract data to files. You can also trigger IPA flows to run afterwards to consume the data and format it the way you need it for your vendor. I have experimented with it but found it was slow, if you were extracting full sets of data and not changes, and it had some limitations, such as sorting. I do want to get more formal training on this tool when time and budget allows along with another Infor Landmark utility which is Replication Sets.
