Inventory Management Handheld Units
Legacy Contributor
We are currently using an old product for our handheld system and are looking to replace it in the very near future - if you are not using the Infor system can you please share with me what you are using? We currently use our handheld devices for our exchange cart system but would like to branch out and use it more extensively. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, as I am relatively new to the Lawson Materials product. Thank you!

We use Infor Mobile Supply Chain Management (MSCM). We use it for receiving and delivery (RAD), as well as par counting, cycle counting, and issue inventory (MPC).

We utilize MSCM Mobile Par Counting only. We have many Par Locations and do not have any perpetual inventory. We will continue to use our Symbol PPT8800 batch mode handhelds with Ethernet cradles and eConnect until we upgrade to Lawson 10. We are currently on Lawson 9.0.1.5 and MPC 9.0.1.2.9. These are the workhorses for our ordering.
We would like to know more about Mobile Requisitions and if that would be a viable alternative to MSCM in the future for us. Does anyone have any input on that?
