Morning all,
Looking for some technical help as when it comes to server setups I am hopeless and depend on the technical guru's, so if anybody could maybe point me in the direction I would be really grateful.
I have been attempting (at least 20 times now) to install Opera3 SQL SE on a Windows 2019 STD server, it is a payroll only system and but it keeps failing when doing the initial SAM configuration (Core and System are created) but then either finialising the creation of the Opera3SESystem database or trying to create the Opera3SECompany00Z database with
Step 2 - Creating Main System - Failed : INITIALISING DATABASE
If I view down into the results there is then a further message:
addaort
Process failed: Updating addaort failed. Reason: The conversion of a varchar data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range value.
The conversion of a varchar data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range value.
Pegasus have been very helpful but I agree with them in that this is a server setup issue as I have successfully installed this on my own laptop and feel the issue has to be related to Regional settings on the server.
I did find in the Region settings the 'New User Accounts was set to Format: English (United States) which I got this fixed, uninstalled Opera3 SQL SE and the server rebooted but still got same error.
My question is, If SQL Express was already installed before this fix, could this still have an impact? All regional settings in SQL Express are set to English and haven't needed to be changed. The only thing now is that the Display Language is still showing as English (United States) attached snip
- would this pose an issue?
Any advice would be welcome....
