Surgical Inventory

We are looking at moving our surgery inventory from IC12 management to IC81 and switch from cycle counting to periodic We are wondering if anyone else went through this change and is anyone using a periodic inventory approach with surgery inventory items? We would like to talk with anyone following this approach.
