After moving Doc Man to a new server files are not moved from Queues folder to storage folders

Good morning all. Any body got experience of moving DM to a new server? Customer has singer server environment and we have sold them new server, small site so using SQL Express. Followed the Pegasus DM move instructions to the letter. New installation is working but when I checked the ?_documentsqueues folder the files are not being transferred to the _documentsstorage folders. Found some Pegasus documentation to change the WINDIP services to start domainadmin and a SQL command to run but it's still not moving files. Got 2 sites in this state now. Anybody moved DM and had the same issue?

Sounds like youve done this already, but the only thing we have is the following (and the part was v important, NOT to back up the DM database.

SQL – Old instance:

Take a backup of all the DM_x datbases
DO NOT BACKUP the DM database

New SQL Server:

Backup the databases & detach them all

Opera server

Backup the document manager folders
Uninstall doc manager server
Reinstall a fresh copy & point it to the new SQL server, this will give us a clean _DM database pointing to the new server
Then reattach/restore the backups on the new server
Log into each Opera company>Doc Manager>Set options. Either click cancel or save - you just need to go in here once so that it recognises the settings. It will lose the automatic capture path, so you need to repopulate this & just give the paths a sanity check

Thanks James, yeap - pretty must followed these steps. I omitted to run the standard Opera backup ticking the box for DM files because I copied the opera files over manually. Does this routine do something extra I wonder?

Have you ever checked the queues folder on the new installation? May be worth checking one of yours which you have moved recently. DM still works fine - I would not have known if I had not checked

Hi yeah we skipped the standard opera back up & everything just "worked". Weve only ever done it once or twice & it was years ago Im afraid. Sorry i cant be more help
