Replication set field order (DEV vs PROD)

I created a replication set in our DEV environment and then created a process flow to read and format the file. After testing, I created the same replication set in PROD and the fields are in a different order in the replication file. This causes me to have to create another process flow for PROD. I think I must be missing something that controls the order of the fields. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have an interest here too. A consultant working with us added fields to the end of our employee replication set after we have written many flows to use the original. He was thinking it would just add them to the end. Well it didn't and when he removed them the rep set was still a little out of order but not too bad. What controls the order? I can't say we won't ever want to add fields to this. It would be nice to know how to do it without having to redo all the flows.

There are 3 business classes for the Replication set. ReplicationSet, RepSetBC, and RepSetBCField. If you are just adding fields then use ISD to export RepSetBC business class for the specific replication set you are changing.

Include the field OrderNumber. It used to be RepSetBCField value that determined the order but now it is the OrderNumber.

I usually query the data from the TST and then upload it to PRD. Sometimes I have to do the upload a couple times before it will update the OrderNumber the way I need it to be. I may need to change the OrderNumber to a higher number in PRD. It doesn't want to reuse a number or something.

I believe you could also personalize the list and add the OrderNumber field so that you can make the change within the system.

Thanks for your response. I looked and can't find the field OrderNumber?? My replication set only has the bus class Workassignment and I added all my fields there. This is the first one I've created.

My apologies. After logging in and taking a look, it appears the delivered list for a RepSet's fields has the additional fields "Sort Order" and "New Sort Order". Have you tried sorting the fields using those? Sort Order Screen Shot

I'm not sure if this helps, but our standard practice is to write Replication Sets to the Data Lake. Then we create SQL Views in the Data Lake and the Views are used by Process Flows. A View gives you a lot of control over the Data Set that is being read by the Process Flow.
