Email Payslips/P60 failing - *Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID {25336920-03F9-11

Hi all,

Does anyone have any idea what this error might relate to? This is reported in the MessageItems table within the PegScheduler database when trying to email payslips/P60s. The emails were sending out successfully up until March 22 when they stopped working. Nothing has sent since, all emails fail with the same error.

*Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID {25336920-03F9-11CF-8FD0-00AA00686F13} from the IClassFactory failed due to the following error: 80070582 Class already exists. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070582).

It is Opera 3 v2.90.00 and Scheduler v2.21.00. SQL Express version 14.0.2037 (this has not changed recently).

The email configuration within Opera has not changed and sending a test email via Scheduler does work.

The email PDF images are created but no emails are sent.

Thanks for the suggestion. I should have said in my original notes that the server is scheduled to reboot every night (and has been).

Sounds **** but I would get them to restart the server. I've had all sorts of weird errors in the last month or two with Opera and Scheduler to do with windows updates half completing and all have been fixed with a server restart. One with a very similar error message as above (see below)

'*Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID {25336920-03F9-11CF-8FD0-00AA00686F13} from the IClassFactory failed due to the following error: 80004005 Unspecified error (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004005 (E_FAIL)).'

That was fixed with a server reboot.
