Vendor Restrictions based on Class

Has anyone been able to limit the viewing of general vendor information on vendors via lists and searches based on vendor class restrictions? We have some super users in the general population that will have access to view invoices but we will need the ability restrict confidential vendors from the results they search for.

Any suggestions on how this can be done in FSM? on V10 it was simple to exclude based on class but I've not had much luck trying to limit my custom secuirty class by vendor class. Does anyone have suggestions?

Have you already tried creating Vendor Class Groups and Vendor Class Security Groups, and assigning Actors to those Security Groups via Actor Context?

We use Cash Code Security Groups and ActorContext in some of our Security Classes/Roles but not Vendor Class Security Groups.

Is there any other way? This sounds awful but since we only have one role that we need to limit this for - I was trying to limit the set up to just this one custom security class that we have assigned to this role. Everyone else that has access to vendor screens are not restricted.

It could be possible you've configured the security class correctly but a security class from another role is providing access. Have you run the Securable Object Policy report on the example user to see which permissions for the Vendor business class are coming from which security class / role for that user?

Most users will have the IEFINBaseSystemAndDataAccess_ST role that contains the IEFINCommonViewInformation_ST security class which provides inquiry access for all Vendors if Vendor Class Security Groups aren't implemented. If you don't want to implement the Security Groups you can still accomplish the desired result with a custom security class / role, but it might be more cumbersome to manage if the users in question have the IEFINBaseSystemAndDataAccess_ST role.
