Email client which is not MS Outlook but that works with Opera 3 statements/remittances

Hi all,

I'm after a bit of advice if possible. We have a customer who is a little behind the times. They want to start emailing statements from Opera 3 but they don't have MS Office. Currently they are using Mozilla Thunderbird for emails but this does not seem to work with Opera. We've also tested the Windows 10 Mail app but we've not managed to get that to work either. 

Does anyone have any experience of any other (free) mail applications that will work with Opera 3.

Hi Alex

What you're looking for is a free email client that supports MAPI and I don't believe such a thing exists. Thunderbird *supposedly* supports it but as you say it doesn't work. There's also EMClient but that's not free.

They could get Office Home and Business 2021 (i.e. not the 365 subscription version) relatively cheaply - the savings on postings statements would probably pay for it quickly enough!
