We recently found an issue with employees not being able to select an FSA plan where a medical plan is a prerequisite in a benefit life event. We allow employees to elect FSA changes on the event date and medical plans start the first day of the next month. Due to our policy, the FSA start date will be before the medical plan start date. System functionality requires that the prerequisite plan must start on or before the FSA plan.
Enhancement request 87693 for benefit plan prerequisite functionality has been submitted to allow enrollment in the FSA plan even if the medical plan (prerequisite) has a start date after the FSA plan. Please endorse if you have a similar issue.
