Contracted items require approval

There are some items on a contract that are high dollar that would skip the approval process if a requester would request the item in RSS. Is there a way to set some special contracted items to require approval? Or should we just not bring that item in on a contract in the contract module?

Are you using the delivered Requisition Approval process flow, or have you already customized it? One possible solution would be to customize your Requisition Approval process flow to require approval for those items, you would just need a way to identify them, e.g. iterate through the requisition lines and check it item is on contract and cost is above whatever your desired threshold is, then later in the flow transition to a User Action if a high dollar contract item was found.
