MMS016 - Styles: Anyone using Styles actively?

We have a new business process that may benefit from utilizing Styles (MMS016).

Is anyone actively using this Program and be willing to connect to share some insight?

Hello Stephen,

We are currently working on a project to implement M3 for Fashion. I have a colleague who has been actively working on the topic of styles to understand the logic behind it.
I have contacted her and she is willing to make herself available to share knowledge points on this topic.
But maybe we should target which ones?
You'll have to be lenient if it's oral because we don't work fluently in English

Please note that Styles and the process around it is very tight coupled with the Fashion industry. You can´t look isolated to the management of styles but also need to adhere many other processes used in our Fashion solution. Please do not see this comment as a "no you should not use it" but more a heads-up.

Hi, what exactly do you want to know? We're en Fashion industry and we use MMS016.

Thanks for the feedback. And maybe that is what is going to limit us with Styles, as we sell Items unrelated to the fashion industry, but do have a set of challenges around managing a matrix of product models / options.

If you think about an iPhone...

You have an iPhone 13 and they have several models. Model A2482 works with Sprint and T-Mobile, comes in Grey or Blue or Pink, and has either 256GB or 512GB of memory.

How would you setup M3 to present / sell the different models of an iPhone 13 with the different options for color and memory size? Is that want Styles can do? And if yes, do I have to activate or follow fashion industry parts of M3 that I haven't turned on?

Yo can do it, you should use with MMS017 and also PDS050, but you need to setup all of that.

In our case you can see and example and maybe its that you're looking for:

The product configuration/attributes does not require the use of styles. Depending on your use case you can either (or combine) configure a unique variant at order entry (like buying a new car) or let the customer select via pre-defined variants. The later is solved by creating configurated stocked variants from a configurated product. With the Iphone example above it would be solved by Stocked variants but still it does not need the Fashion Styles.
