HR Talent focused question here....Are any of you successfully leveraging List reports for Managers? We are experiencing issues with time-outs when Managers access List reports.
Back story...CommonSpirit has around 150k Active Employee Resources and another 70k Active Non-Employee Resources in HR Talent today. Aorund 7k Resources' Positions are indicated as a Manager. We understand Managers have capability to access their staff and see details of each resource. Our managers like to see the Wall of Data for their resources. To support this for our HR Users, we would simply build a list off the Business Class. The Actor Org Unit security works in this scenario (although it was timing our until we added a relation chain configuration parameter). We do not allow Managers to create reports, although we do allow them Personalization. We find that the filter running against Manager security is timing out in these sitations. Ultimately, we removed our Manager's access to any List reports (via our Actor Group configuration).
Our work around to date has been to create Wall of Data reports in Birst. While not real time (only updated daily), our users have grown to love the filtering that we have added to these Walls of Data. We included drill back URLs to most data elements in the Birst report, to maintain easier navigation between Birst/HRT.
