Where / how do you use Contacts throughout M3 once they've been Customer Connected?

Good Afternoon,

Recently we've spent a lot of time entering Contact Persons (CRS618), and then a bunch of time connecting them to Customers (CMS055 - Customer Contact Connect).

We have some situations where a Customer may have several Contacts...think multiple Buyers at a company,

Is anyone using Customer Contacts in the Ordering process? Is there a way to lookup / pull from Customer Contacts into the References on an Order?

Right now it seems like Customer Contact is just a big rolodex of names and we are wondering where we can utilize them effectively in M3.

i am also interested in this topic.

We have set up few "buyers" in CRS618 and then we connected them to several email addresses in CMS055. The contact type was defined from "payment reminder" for the moment but I would like to do it more efficiently.

We have in mind to send a satisfaction questionnaire to the Buyer that was involved in the customer order and we are searching for the best place where to save the contact.

Until now we only used "email" in CRS111 and sometimes that program is not enough.

We have also reviewed these fields but haven't started to use them yet. We want to use these contacts during the ordering process (basically pick a contact from the table when entering the order) but couldn't find any "standard" way of doing this. So our idea was to build a script that makes it possible to lookup this table and bring the contact to the "reference field". Not sure if there is any better way of doing this....

that sounds interesting because now we are "typing" the name of the customer/buyer in your ref 1 OAYREF.

Another idea would be to connect to one of the new "header/custom fields". not sure what can be better

Indeed that is exactly what we are doing --> Typing the name of the Buyer in OAYREF
And exactly what we'd like to do --> pick a contact from the table when entering the order and allow the population of the OAYREF from a Lookup

Yeah - CRS111 can only do 1 email Per Customer Number?

we put multiple using the different types.. but it is sill very limited. Already to send payment reminders or similar we have multiple contacts and in CRS111 you can add only few

Correct, you should be able to just create a 'Browse Pop-Up' when you are doing 'order entry' using a Script on the Panel containing the YREF field as indicated and then pick the Contact. The script can then update the Reference field accordingly on the Panel.
This is exactly what H5 Scripts are good at.
