Tools/Methods used to copy settings from one tenant to another ?

Hello,

I wanted to know the best practices you use to reproduce the settings you have developed in a tenant project to the production tenant.

I know that in terms of setting up a company, this involves using the administration tools where you can copy a CONO and its DIVIs (including the white division).
But the configuration of M3 is not limited to that (for example views, sorting orders etc...)

What is the approach you have chosen and the tools you use ?

may i ask how you update your Test System ? Since this is in priciple also the way to copy "only" the setting from one environment to another

For the moment, we are not yet in this phase (we are still in the project phase).
We are developing the prototype in the TRN environment in a dedicated CONO that contains exclusively the parameterization (not the transaction data). And it is this CONO that will be transported to the PRD holder.
This same TRN tenant is also used for user testing if necessary by duplicating the CONO in another one but in the same tenant.

you can export views and sorting orders in crs021, they will then appear in Administration Tools -> business engine files where you can export them to your PC and upload them to another entity via Business engine configuration data. Also a good place to start is cms240 (but you will need to have that feature activated (feature 2140627))

Thank you for informing me of the existence of this feature.
But, in general, does it mean that you have to scrupulously note each program for which modifications have been made and proceed by an ahoc iport/export.
Because this implies a rigor that can be undermined if the number of consultants who proceed to the parameterization is 'high' and this rigor is not shared
Or is there a more "radical" way to assume that all this parameterization is OK in the TRN tent and is to be taken and imported/exported globally in PRD?

Hi, which versión of M3 do you use?

With M3 13.4, we used Export Data Tool by LCM to export all the database with configuratios to our TST enviorment, with that tool we can also change the CONO/DIVI, but we never did not copy from TST/Config enviorment to PRD, we did it as Peter said.

But I think that an alternative could be use Export Data Tool throught LCM, that allows you to export/import the whole data/configuration between enviorments/companys or chose the files to copy.

Some configurations as personalizations, you should use export/import from administration tools.
