Permissions for On-Line Filing Manager

Hi, it's been a while since I've needed you guys but have a bit of a technical query around On-Line Filing Manager.

Does this need the user to have "Local Admin. Rights"

We've a customer who removed the local admin rights from all of their users and since then every time the payroll person tries to use OLFM it is asking for administrator credentials? The user still has full read/write access to the c:programfilesx86pegasus folder and c:programdatapegasus folders so is there something else in their locking down that is forcing the administrator credentials?

Any help or advice would be welcome :-)

Have you checked whether there is a Pegasus folder in C:ProgramDataApplication DataPegasus?

Hi Jodie, I haven't as yet but good shout - I'll get them to ensure if there is full read/write is also applied to that folder. Pegasus have come back to get the Compatibility Tab on the OFM shortcut as there is an option on there to "Run as as Administrator" so I'm hoping that is all it is.

hi, two things...

1) you will need to add "everyone" with full read write permission to the folder on the security tab, otherwise OFM wont launch & you will get a message bout the ini. this isnt a share, but purely the security

2) thIs is always a pain, especially on windows 10+ machines.... .NET 3.5 needs enabled & quite often you dont realise until afer the en event that it isnt!!! You only find this out when you go to send an FPS - you can stiill get in OFM, but you get a diff message about COM something. the problem is, you still need to uninstall OFM, then enable then reinstall.

if you renable without uninstalling, it does seem to work

Many thanks James, I've given the customer some things to try based on your suggestions so hopefully they find a resolution. I tested on my own laptop a local user with no admin rights and it works a treat so they must have some other stricter policy in place :-)
