Lost Sales

Does anyone have experience with Lost Sales? From what I can tell, in order to capture lost sales you need to have a dataset active prior to any orders being deleted and the "lost sales flag" ticked.

If we did not have a dataset active is there no way to capture this historic data?

if you check in the table OSASTD per order number you should see the drop in values also without dataset active.

Then you can create a report in AHS110

Agree with Elisabetta.
The only trick is to understand that you have to create the Report on OSASTD in combination with OOLINE to get the FULL picture.

Hi Both - thanks for the information. But what would be missing with this approach would be the reason code for the lost sales - the reason code on OOLINE and OSASTD is the order reason code and not the lost sales reason code.

Our users are interested in capturing the reason for the lost sales.

In that case you should consider 'Closing' the Order Lines ( and assign a Reason Code when doing so) instead of 'Deleting' Order/Lines.

This way the above can still apply for tracking your History and you do not loose your History.

Secure Option 4 for OIS101, that way the Order Lines does not get deleted by "mistake".

if i am not wrong there is a field populated for the reason during the "lost order" mark. that is a field in a table and can be easy connected to one of you order report.

In our company we reconcile every month previous backlog+new orders- sales to match with the new month backlog and whe the order report I have only one little discrepancy and this is when the order line is added on a date and then on the same day the line is picked and packed and then deleted. in that case I miss that record in osastd, but the cases are extremely rare.
