Multisite Syteline - Setup?

Hi everyone,

We are new to Portal/Mingle on premise. We have been using ION for some time. We are looking to move to using portal and mingle for the homepages functionality and maybe start introducing social collab as well. 

We have SyteLine setup as a single application server with multiple configurations. When I setup syteline in the app switcher I used a logical ID for my main site. However, users may go back and fourth between our other main sites. On the syteline side they can do a logout and login just fine. But when we start linking items via social collaboration it seems that Syteline won't auto log out and log in to see the new site. 

Can anyone advise of the proper way to setup Syteline? Currently I have one icon setup for my main logical ID with my subsites setup as fallback. It works fine, but wanted to make sure I have it setup optimally for multi site.

I'm excited to hear that you're looking to leverage the power of Homepages to provide cross-application insights to your users. Please also be aware that we have various tools to help you create widgets specific to your needs including the Widget SDK and Mongoose.

As for your other question, while we built social collaboration into Infor Ming.le, the future of collaboration seems to be in specialized applications. In fact, if yours is like most other companies, your employees are likely already using more than one collaboration platform. I would suggest you review your own needs carefully while setting your collaboration strategy.
