Enhancement Requests

Hi all,

I've had a couple of enhancement requests accepted lately which I think will be useful additions to the product. Please vote for them if you agree!

Solution No.2267792 - Restrict Postings to Nominal Accounts. I did ask for a dormant tick box on nominal accounts but they updated it to 'restrict postings' instead. It will have the same effect.

Solution No.2268264 - System - Audit Log = Provide a company wide audit log which records all changes to main tables. Date/time stamp per user. For example when a supplier bank details are changed

H iive done that, would you mind doing it for this one that's been accepted. KB 2268318. Its say in the sales ledger you do a large quote, you can assign a default VAT code eg Z, then do the usual conversion.

In SPM, you can have a prospect that would have a default VAT code of Z but you dont have this optrion. So you do a 30 page quote, tand on each line youve to change the default VAT code on the sale code to Z.....many thanks

I agree, we get asked for that alot especially when they compare it to the one in payroll!

I have also signed up for all 3.

They must be doing a bit of a spring clean as I have been receiving updates on incidents where they were set for enhancement requests but I've been getting the line

"Your enhancement request has been reviewed and is unlikely to be implemented."

Steve, What is your definition of a Company Wide Audit log ? This could be huge ! ! Also do you have customers willing to pay for this functionality ?

We have a bespoke that does this for nominated tablesfields. There are a lot of considerations though. For example, do you really want the volume of log data that would be generated by batch processing 1000 orders to invoices, or a period end ? So we limit it to account records and the like, and avoid the transaction tables.
