Exporting an Organizational Chart

Hi GHR gurus. We have a number of employee's that do not regularly access GHR however have a requirement to view organization charts. We don't have the ability to export a chart from GHR, meaning a lot of manual intervention with regularly uploading data into a third party application (currently Org Plus) to generate this to place on our internal intranet. This is very time consuming and doesn't capture real time changes to employees work assignments etc, therefore is very quickly out of data, starting the whole process again. My question is, does anyone else have this issue and if so, how to you address it? Hopefully someone has come up with some slick intergration with another product that can produce a chart in real time without manual intervention! Looking forward to seeing the responses to this.

Hi Amy! I'm sorry to say we don't have a slick solution, but I'd be happy to endorse an Enhancement Request if you open one.

I would be happy to endorse as well. Although we have our organization chart in MS Teams

We could use a better solution as well. It's odd for us because work assignments stay active post termination due to GHR Payroll - this leaves terminated workers on the org chart. We have it setup to update in Microsoft Teams via active directory integration, which also isn't perfect due to caching on the Microsoft side.

So is the core issue these "number of employee's that do not regularly access GHR" having to access GHR then? Or is the core issue the org chart view that you get IN GHR isn't what they/you need?

Core issue is not being able to export a copy of the chart. You have very kindly assisted with getting the details we wanted into the chart in GHR, but being able to export a PDF for example would be great.

We've found we are only able to place two (2) fields within the OrgChartView. Is this a current implementation or something we are not doing correctly on our side. Ideally, we'd like to have 5 or 6 fields (in total) and be able to control font size on the different fields.

So you’d like a PDF export of the manger and their directs, as you see it on the web? You aren’t wanting some larger multi-levels PDF version or something then?

Ideally being able to run them by org unit (parent/child) and see all the employees, positions and their reporting lines with selected org units.

The other problem we have is our Org chart not keeping up with the daily changes. We were told by Infor that the Org chart doesnt go by position roles/managers/direct reports etc., that it manually has to be updated. Unless there's been an update to that process that i missed i can see how the org chart within Infor would be quickly outdated without user work to keep manually updating. How does your company update the org chart to keep it real time or close to real time?

we are in the same boat and have to hold on to terminations until after payroll completes as well and then process the termination.
