EDI Integration for Cloud M3

For those who do their own EDI programming in-house, would you, please, be so kind as to tell me what your recommendation is for the translation/communication software pieces?  In particular, we are looking for software recommendations for translating the BOD to the current format we are using with our Partners.  Then, we will need to identify the communications tool for the data transfer.

We are in the early stages of migrating to CSDE / M3 / M3CE and do not want any disruption.

We have a combination of In House and Managed Services. For in house, we use MuleSoft for the translation. If you aren't using the Mule platform for other things, this would probably be overkill. It's an expensive platform but it does have EDI capabilities and a strong transformation module (DataWeave). MuleSoft also handles the delivery, but for these we only use simple SFTP.  

The bulk of our EDI goes through a managed services provider, who develops and maintains the translations for us, and also handles trading partner connectivity. 

You can look into ION mappings, File Output Templates, maybe even Python scripting to do your own translations. Or MEC flat file support possibly - not sure if that's fully released yet. 

So - not a recommendation per se, but that's what we are doing. Our intent is to go fully managed services over the next few years.
