Hi everyone,
Just wondering what is everyone's feeling on applying the latest Pegasus Opera3 Update 2.91.50 before this has passed Royal Assent?
Regards
Claire
Hi, like the email reads - plan your weeklys first and leave as long as possible
Hi Claire,
Not great to be honest, but I don't have much of a choice as there is only 2 of us here that are Pegasus accredited so to get through them all I will have to start. Think I will just start with the smaller clients first. Sage have pushed their update out and I know some of our customers have already applied that.
I wonder when capital gold will be here.
Melissa
Thanks Richard, yeah we have 60 sites with weekly payroll and only a couple of pairs of hands.... it's the mess if we have to u-turn that I'm concerned with.
wow - 60 weekly. I think we be unlucky if we need to restore / downgrade. Most of mine moved to monthly when autoenrolement came in. Good luck
We should all e-mail Contact information for Viscount Younger of Leckie - MPs and Lords - UK Parliament to ask them to put pressure on to get the Royal Assent completed ASAP.
Like most of you, I suspect, we're having to "go for it"
We have too many customers (50+ weekly), and relatively too few resources to meet the November 6th deadline, without starting now.
As said, it is by no means ideal, but an unfortunate necessity.
Onwards we go, with fingers crossed
Steve
I have already emailed the Viscount Younger of Leckie yesterday evening, surprisingly I've not had a reply.....
Good afternoon, Viscount Younger of Leckie,
I am hoping you can understand my reaching out to you and thank you for taking the time to read this amidst all the goings on in Parliament currently. The above Bill moved by yourself which includes the changes to National Insurance contributions is due to come into effect from Sunday 6th November however this Bill has been siting now at “Royal Assent” since Tuesday of this week which prevents ANY of the payroll software providers in releasing their updates to their counterparts who then in turn apply this to the UK businesses. For the payroll package I represent “Pegasus Opera”, this is not a simple change or a simple click of a button and requires a mammoth task in resource and inconvenience to our customers to apply this change. With a deadline of Sunday 6th November we are running out of time to ensure the companies we represent will be compliant and in turn employees will continue to pay the National Insurance at the higher rates.I totally understand that with the recent events in Parliament and so much going on this causes delay but would ask is there any way this particular bill can be given urgent priority and complete Royal Assent. I am more than happy for you to forward this email to anyone concerned which may be able to help.
Many thanksClaire Craig
My general feel is gladness we aren't involved in payroll in general and UK payroll in particular
Hi everyone, just to give you a heads up but we have just raised an incident with Pegasus asking for some clarity around the new statutory table due to come into effect on 6th November as the 'First Week Number for Table' is set at 31 with the 'First Month Number for Table' is 8 - we think that the week number should be '32'.....
We have had feedback from Pegasus regards the incident. They have confirmed that the release is correct.
"As per the HMRC tax calendar, the 6/11/22 is week 31. Week 31 is for the period of 2nd Nov to 8th Nov.I have added below a document supplied by HMRC, that shows you the tax tables for weekly, and you will find that it clarifies the above.https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1054598/Tax_Tables_April_2022.pdf
"
We will be starting our upgrades ASAP.
