Email Remittance run produces random blank PDFs

We have a client who do a regular email run of many tens of remittances. Random ones are produced with blank PDFs. The PDF is there but it's blank. There is no pattern to which ones are blank and rerun the sequence and different ones might be blank. And then sometimes none are blank. Looking in the email subfolder you can actually see the blank ones.

Any ideas of what we can check? We've tried all the usual with anti virus, indexing etc. It's not permissions as it is random. Are there any hidden settings on Amunyi drivers to diagnose this? Nothing appears in the event log.

We can't reproduce it with their data on our PCs, but they are running in a terminal server environment.

Do they have a modified remittance layout in use?

Are they using the Amyuni PDF driver, if so try changing it to use XFRX. Which IIRC is recommended for RDP scenarios.

I will double check but I think it's XFRX one, sorry I just bundle them in as one in my head.

We are going to take their logo off as I seem to recall something years ago about logo files being locked from a previous print and sometimes preventing a PDF from generating. A bit like when you are amending layouts and get something wrong and it produces a blank then.

Hi my acollague had a similar issue....sounds a bit too simple tbh, but hes put the following:

When I had a similar issue, I seem to remember that I found one or two suppliers that had the option Email Remittances ticket ON, but they did not have an email address on the suppliers record in P/L processing.

So this would likely cause issues when doing the Remittances run.

i cant see it being this, but thought Id add it to your call

Thanks, in this case it's random so one run a supplier will get a remittance, then repeat the run and it might be blank next time.
