DPS - Unknown. Unable to connect to the remote server

Hi all,

I have installed and configured DPS and get the message below when I run the DPS to connect to HMRC:

Scheduler is working and all ports are configured in the firewall.

Has anyone seen this message and hopefully have a resolution for me please.

Hi Keith, at what point do you get the above? are you sure the following ports have been applied

Port 51920
This needs to be open from the O3 Clients to the O3 Server. This does not need to be open to the Internet.

Port 433
This needs be open from the O3 Server to api.service.hmrc.gov.uk (which is the HMRC server for DPS).

Did you mean port 1433 if not I will check.

Is it an Incoming TCP Ports?

Hi Keith - yes it's 433 (see Pegasus incident: 16327188) I would assume it's incoming as the data needs to come from HMRC - but i'll be brutally honest and I usually setup the ports for both incoming and outward to be sure to be sure :-)
