WebRun getattachrec.exe

I have a couple of flows where I need to include comments from POs and Reqs. These have been working in our 9.0 environment for years using a WebRun node calling getattachrec.exe . I am not getting the expected results in IPA 10.0.6. I'm guessing there's a small adjustment that I need to make, but I haven't found any useful information on this.

The post string for the PO example) is:

Do you have a the Web tab configured under Configuration - Main? We don't use getattachrec, but we use writeattach, and we had to setup the Web configuration for the webrun to work, I can't remember if we had to make any changes to the post string.

here is an example of our RQ header comments post string where we write the work unit number out to the header comments.

Where do I go to build that url if I wanted to add a comment to another table?

Change FN to the table you want. FN=REQHEADER is using REQHEADER which is the requisition header. Change IN to the index you want to use. IN=RQHSET1 is the primary index on table REQHEADER. You need to adjust the keys K1 thru K5 to reflect the index used. There are also new versions of this call besides writeattach.

Good morning.

When you make the change to Lawson System Foundation 10, you should no longer use cgi-lawson/writeattach.exe. All of these cgi-lawson/*.exe programs are deprecated in LSF10. Therefore they are no longer maintained, and it is likely at some point a change in LSF will occur that will render them inoperable.

IMPORTANT: For LSF 10, you should be using the /lawson-ios/action/ servlets.

To add an attachment using Infor Process Automation, against LSF 10. You should use a Web Run Node with the following:

Setting up the Web Run:

1. URL type = Infor Lawson

2. Web Program = /lawson-ios/action/AddAttachment

3. Success String = Attachment Added

4. Method = POST

5. Post String =

<ACTION>

<ATTACHMENT K2="3442" K1="1000" attachmentCategory="commentAtch" dataArea="L10CUR" attachmentType="Q" indexName="RQHSET1" fileName="REQHEADER">

<ATTACHMENT-NAME>Title4</ATTACHMENT-NAME>

6. Content Type = text/xml

This will add an attachment to the REQHEADER table (Comment on RQ10). Using Index=RQHSET1, which has two Key Fields Company and ReqNumber. K1=Company, K2=ReqNumber.

NOTE: If you would like to find out how to add an attachment to another location. Manually add the attachment in portal while capturing browser traffic with Fiddler.

Great! Thank you! We are on LSF v10. I am seeing writeAttach.exe on some of our flows. If we are hosted, can we get a list of all the available options? So all of cgi-lawson programs will be deprecated?

You can see the required XML for the Post String in Fiddler. Just remember to:

1. remove the <?xml version="1.0?> line

2. modify the XML to remove <![CDATA[Title]]> and just use the "Title" for the comment title

3. modify the XML to remove <![CDATA[text]]> and just use the "text" for comment text

aka if you leave the <![CDATA{ddd]]> in there it will fail.
