Report Designer Print Conditions for Layouts based on chosen output

Good Afternoon!

I'm hoping someone may be able to give a pointer on this question.  In Report Designer, we're looking to set a condition for a layout to print or not based on the chosen output device, such as Excel_RD.  We need something to output when Excel_RD, but not for other output devices.  Is this possible and can someone supply an example or reference?

I think there´s a predefined variable called "spool.device" where you have the device chosen for output.

So, you can try the next code:

before.layout:

if spool.device = "Excel_RD" then

    | "conditions"

endif
