Credit Card Entry using Verisign
thamm
FACTS 7.7.2 I have a customer using Verisign Pay Flow Pro that would like to be able to enter the credit card information, ie card number and expiration date, at the time of order entry and be able to use that card information during invoice confirmation. They do not want to put a hold onto the credit card (book and ship) nor do they want to create a deposit for the amount of the order because they do not know the freight charges yet.
We tested out the use of the deposit, however, once the deposit has been applied to the invoice, if there are additional charges required, the user has to re-enter the credit card information for the additional amount. For an order that was processed via a phone call, this requires the user to keep the credit card information written down somewhere until the invoice is confirmed. The other alternative is to call the customer back for the card information again.
Ideally, my customer would like to be able to key in the card information during order entry, store this information in a way that is PCI compliant, and then retrieve the card information at time of invoice confirmation without having to rekey the card information.
Has anyone else been able to come up with a solution for this issue. Thanks !!

Tammy,
we have created an add-on modification that stores credit cards by customer and/or ship-to. The file is encrypted and there are several security measures and controls to lock down who can use CCs and when they can use them. The User can apply a CC to an order and then process at confirmation time or put a deposit on an open order . We also have an add-on that allows use for a CC to pay an open AR balance, and a book and ship option. please feel free to contact me if you would like more information.
