Bookmarks for on-prem installs, can we export them for all users?

Hi,

Is it possible (maybe via MSSQL) to export all the bookmarks for all users when you want to migrate an existing Infor OS environment on-prem to another new on-prem server/installation?

When you open the bookmarks icon you are able to manage bookmarks but only for the person who is logged on. But want to do it for all users in one shot.

Please let me know if there are any other options to achieve this.

Hi Gerard,

I've not heard of such a tool. The tables involved are in the Mingle DB (not sure about the exact name on-prem). But you are looking for these:

- MPBookMark
- MPBookMarkFolder
- SocialUser

But there is one aspect that will make it harder. The column UserId is an int that refers not to the identity in IFS (or the user email) but to a Mingle internal key. 

The UserId is the key column (UserId) in the SocialUser table. The userId in the two environments will not match, you need to make selects and joins to export/import the data. SocialUser has WindowsAccountId which would help you and resolve the data, but it's not an easy task because of this extra level or UserId that is only internal. It's possible to do in SQL but the mapping between IDs makes it a bit harder.
