When it comes to writing records in Custom Table using Xtend M3, do we have any limitations on no. of records which can be stored?
As far as I understand, the intention with XTendM3 Custom Tables is to NOT have the record limitation that CUGEX1 has for instance (Infor recommends NOT using this for Transactional tables).Also, you can create Multiple Indexes allowing you to find specific records without bringing the system to its knees!

No fixed record limit as far as I'm aware but it's always good to think about archiving/deleting records through XtendM3 batch jobs if you can. I doubt standard archiving will be able to work with XtendM3 tables.
