Hello - We are wondering what your archival and purge practices are in FSM. We want to ensure that business records are adequately protected, maintained, stored and destroyed according to our defined retention schedule and procedures. However, we haven't fully developed our procedures for our FSM data yet. There are purge programs available, so I'm curious how often others are running them. Also, prior to purging records are you archiving the data? If so, where do you archive your tables? On prem? With Infor? Up to this point we have just left the data in the application and are only running some async purge jobs on schedule.
- How often do you run purge programs? Would you be willing to share data type and schedule? i.e. async triggers, requests, queue history, as well as, transaction data like purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, etc.
- What is your archival procedure? On prem or cloud hosted?
- Aside from reducing storage needed have you noticed any system performance improvements?
Short answers are fine. We just want to get some general ideas on how others are performing this maintenance. Thank you.
