Resyncing positions with associated work assignments

We have many fields on work assignments defaulting from the associated position. However, when that field on the work assignment is updated through an ISD upload, the work assignment field unsyncs from the position. When the position and work assignment unsync, when the position is updated, the change does not flow to the field on the work assignment as it should. What is the best practice for resyncing the field on the position and work assignment? Thank you for your thoughts!

Hi Rachel - I have found that I need to transfer the employee into the same position they are currently in and it reactivates the link.

Hi Rachel! Check your organization configuration. Administrator > Setup > Structure > Organizations > Open your organization > navigate to the Configuration tab and in the global hr feature section there is a check box for "Work Assignment Synchonization", below that is synchronization option - synchronize overrides, or do not synchronize overrides.
