Deploying Visual with Microsoft RemoteApp and Outlook

We are gearing up to move Visual from running locally on client machines to using MS RemoteApp. I see posts praising that this setup works well. My main concern that I can foresee is integration of sending emails from Visual to the user's local copy of Outlook. 

Does anyone have any suggestions of how they got this working and/or any other major hurdles migrating to RemoteApp? 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there, we use Visual as a RemoteApp for a few years now and we have 3 ways we handle this:

1. Outgoing only email is setup as "other" in visual preferences and we manually add smtp server, user, password to database in preferences for the users for a generic relay account locally that then sends it to office365 to either be delivered or relayed again to its final recipient.

2. Users needing Outlook we bought some office licenses (need Volume Licenses for TS...) to go on our Terminal server and those users have 2 outlooks one on their pc and one they can open from the terminal server that provides a similar experience as before RemoteApp. they HAVE to run on the SAME terminal server as Visual so that drag and drop works as they are essentially on the same RDP session so this works.

3. We also have home mapped drives for every user that is accessible from the terminal server so they can drag emails to there then drag them to the terminal server from the mapped drive.

This has served our purpose for a while now but is not without its issues.  some users JUST use outlook from their terminal server version and then the experience is much the same as before moving to RemoteApp.

I am interested to see if anyone else has different experience with this also.
