Our goals is to distribute a course via distribution rules and then cease further distribution at a certain point in time. Will disabling distribution rules accomplish this?
Disabling a rule will stop the distribution. We have also put a rule to stop assigning based on a future date of hire. Example we wanted a course to go to current as well as new hires up until March 31st. After that date the rule would stop because the date of hire parameter was in the past.
