Batch change server name in SEQCO path with a new server name

Hi All,

I have a payroll bureau using Opera 3, we are migrating them to a new server in a couple of weeks. They have 18 almost full systems so a lot of companies.

I'm wondering if I open seqco with vfox is there a quick command for me to find and replace the old server name with the new server name? I figure I might need to do this 18 times for each system but would save a lot of time doing these individually.

Also open to any other suggestions.

Assuming your old server paths are like

\oldservernameo3 server vfp static and dynamicdata

... and your new server name is:

mynewserver

After taking a backup of SEQCO.* you could do:

replace all co_subdir with strtran(alltrim(co_subdir), "\oldservername", "\mynewserver") in seqco
