Deleting Users

We are preparing to clean up our users and permissions; has anyone experienced any issues or unforeseen problems with deleting users when they leave the company? I read in KB 1060669 that this does not cause any data integrity issues, but I wanted to reach out to see what experience says.
We have Visual Enterprise 6.5.4, Visual Quality 6.53 and Global Financials.
