File Already Exists on 2003 server (terminal server) after you click Logon
unknown
Don't know what to do next so reaching out to you all!
We have a customer who uses Opera 3. They have a main file server and a terminal server. Opera is fine for all client users and on file server but on the terminal server if you go to log on then it says "File Already exists", clicking on Ignore gives a message of "uniqueness of index is violated".
Anyone else come across this? We've reinstalled the client and that hasn't helped.
Thanks,
Bhav

Do all users have full permissions to both c:program files (x86)pegasus, and c:programdatapegasus on the terminal server?
If you RDP onto the terminal server as a domain admin, can you run it then?
NB: Those paths are for 64-bit Windows Server 2008 or later. Amend as appropriate for earlier versions of Windows Server.

Hi Alan,
Yes permissions appear fine, got their network support to log on as administrator to test - get the same message.
Thanks,
Bhav

It also says "uniqueness of index is violated" if you click on Ignore twice and then "the specified collection key () already exists"

Was the client installed on the TS server as a domain administrator?
Try emptying the Pegasus temp folder on the server.

I've seen the message "the specified collection key () already exists" when there are duplicate records in the bespoke.dbf. Does the customer have bespoke, may be worth checking if they do.

Just re-read your notes and I think if it was this then it would occur on the main server too so maybe not that!

Yes - also SEQRPLAY duplicates etc, but as you say it's only when running the client off the TS server so unlikely to be that. Almost certainly will be permissions, in the end.

Thanks for the responses so far.
I've checked bespoke.dbf (first thing I did check as I'd the specified collection message before).
I will ask them if permissions have changed and double check if the client was installed as domain admin.
Thanks,
