Search resources by SSN

How have customers of Infor HR Talent added the ability to search by SSN/Identification Number on the Administrator->Resources page (EmployeeAdvancedSearchForm), as well as in the Benefits Module (EmployeeBenefitsSearchForm)? I see there is an Enhancement Request for this (98703), but am curious how others have addressed prior to this being added to the product? Thank you.

To add search capabilities to the primary Resource search screen add the configuration below to the EmployeeAdvancedSearchForm

because HR Generalists and leaders do not have access to this information at my company, we almost always deal in eeid instead of SSN. In those very rare cases where I get someone's ssn but not an eeid or name, I'll go in and ISD a query for national ID and filter on the ssn provided - that gives me the eeid to be able to proceed. It's the long way around the barn, to be sure, but only happens about once a year, so it's never been something we have considered adding.

we dont have a search by SSN field anywhere as we do the same and search by team member number. however we do have different security levels on who can see the SSN from the resources profile page.

To permit our Benefits team to search by SSN, we assigned them the delivered security role, SearchEmployeeID_ST . Then we customized their menu to access the delivered EmployeeIDSearchPage.

Hi Barbara, I was looking for the enhancement request you noted so I could endorse it and am not able to locate it under the Enhancements. Also, they all start with a 1, I don't see any with a 9 number. Where is this enhancement request located?

We would also like to be able to search on only the last 4 digits since many times that is all we have and then look for the same first name to then compare if address is the same or perhaps a name change from what we have on the document. The EmployeeIDSearch feature does not allow for this.

Thank you - I added this code to the form and the SSN field appears, but nothing happens when I enter an SSN and click Search.

Are you entering dashes? Try NOT entering any dashes. The field being searched is just the raw number.

Hi Sylvie, it is strange, the search doesn't work unless you "Load All" of enhancement requests. You can find the "Load All" option after clicking the three dots ellipsis next to Refresh.

Thank you. I will check with my IT department and see if they can put this in for us. We are still in the process of implementing and are not live yet. So not sure if they have been shown how to do this, but would be a good training item for them.
