Is it possible for members of this group to review release update documentation ahead of the general release? If so then we could give feedback sooner if needed and I can see multiple benefits.
Yes. It would be helpful if all Infor depts could release the documentation on the same day :-). Regarding the documentation itself, the highlights documentation for M3/Infor OS appears to be good. However, it contains links to training documents on Infor U that do not exist (everything I have tried fails). Searching manually in Infor U also has 0 results.Maybe a strange issue, but in the Release Reports (Excel documents), some cells contain unexpected formatting. Which results in the data not being able to be used in other medias. For example, we upload all the release reports into a single Sharepoint site. But when uploading/pasting the data, it sometimes fails because of the formatting used. The example I have found is when Detailed descriptions are written in Word and contain tables. These appear to have been pasted into the Excel cell (I have replicated this). Then when transferring that cell to the Sharepoint list, it fails as it sees it as multiple cells - therefore causing the upload to fail. But the information appears to be ok. The Release Center is an improvement. But sometimes, you click on the links looking to open the latest September release information (due to receiving a notificaion from Infor that a new release is available), but the release report that opens is October. The text in the support portal says September 09.03 but the report is October 10.00An additional topic - about communication of releases. I have just heard that the Factory Track release for 2023.09 has been cancelled. Apart from this being very late notification, the main issue is that it has been very poorly communicated. In fact on the FT KB article for monthly updates (KB 2038979) there is no mention on it at all.
