We are in the healthcare industry and were curious to how often other clients ran the Close Purchase Order Header job? Currently ours is ran once a month during the month closing activities.
Children's Mercy Kansas City takes the same approach - Month end, which occurs on the 1st calendar day each month

We have typically run this during month end close, but for a while the job was taking a really long time to complete, so we also added a weekly job run during off hours. It seems like the run time isn't an issue any longer.
Close Purchase Order Header job can be run at any time of the month. It is recommended to run at month end so that it is run at least once a month. I would recommend running with Blank From Date to the end of the month so that it will pick up any older PO's that may have been open pending AOC Close Days setting on the Purchasing Company.
Like many others, here at Froedtert we run this job at month end as well.
We also have the option to run this as needed outside of the typical close. One example of why you may want to run it more frequent is if you are pulling a report for open vs closed PO's. You would run the PO header close before you pull that report so you can have an accurate count of number of open PO's vs number of closed Po's. If you are pulling that report metric somewhat frequently (weekly vs monthly), you would also want to run your close PO Header job more frequently too.
