Absence Plan Transfer Processing

Hi.. we are not yet live on GHR, but are having issues with transferring between absence plans while testing. Even though we create the new plan with the plan entry date of the effective date of the transfer and do not check to transfer dates on the transfer form, it still defaults the plan entry date on the new plan to the previous plan's entry date and wants to override what we have for the date. Anyone else having this issue?

Our consultant told us we had to set up the new plan using recalculate and not manually like we do in S3, however tried that and still have the same issue. No other dates populate to be transferred except for the plan entry date.

If you are not having this issue with the dates. would you be willing to share your process (steps) in transferring between plans so I can test it out with our plans.

Also has anyone found a way to only show the plans someone is eligible for on the transfer to section of the transfer form so you don't have to type it all in or search for it?

We had the same issue with the plan entry date on the transfer. To correct it, we used ISD to query the pending transfers and then corrected the entry date in an upload before completing the transfer in GHR. This was back in 2021 so I am not sure how much has changed since then with this process in GHR. Hopefully that help at least a little bit!

Thank you. Appreciate the response. At lease we know it isn't just something we are doing wrong.

Was hoping for a solution that didn't require an additional step. But we will keep this option in mind if we have a large group of transfers. If not, we will manually update as we have been doing during testing.

Would think if this issue has been around since 2021 Infor would have corrected by now. May put in a couple enhancement requests to help streamline the transfer processing.

We restructured our PTO plans in 2021 so a lot of our employee population is in one PTO plan. We don't honestly have that many plan transfers anymore due to that change. However, it sounds like it still works that way today as it did in 2021...

We used ISD to correct the entry date during our restructure but when there is only one-a couple transfers then we just manually correct that entry date on the pending transfer before completing it.

I would definitely up-vote any enhancement you put in/come up with for plan transfers!

Are you running the recalculate function before processing and closing at the end of your payroll cycle?

That would be so nice if we could consolidate our plans into fewer. We have several... but most of our transfers are due to having 2 different pay cycles, but they are both processed together on the same pay run. they are the same plans but process with different pay cycle dates. If it weren't for these, we would have few transfers also. I will post here when I get around to putting in an enhancement request. Thank you.

Hi.. we process these outside the payroll cycle. The transfers are done by HR and not payroll. So I guess to answer your question, yest before process and closing the payroll cycle. They are done throughout the pay period when transfers are done... do can actually be done several times in 1 day.
