FX.Importer.ECBFeedURL alternatives

Hello,

We are on XM in the cloud.

Has anyone identified an alternative source to the default European Central Bank for daily exchange rates (xml file)? 

www.ecb.europa.eu/.../eurofxref-daily.xml

The delivered feed only supports 30 major currencies, while the list of available countries far exceeds that number.  In particular we had a user traveling in South America and the following exchange rates were not available in the feed:

• Peruvian Nuevo Sol (PEN)
• Chilian Peso (CLP)
• Argentine Peso (ARS)  

We submitted a case but the feed back we received was "Per Infor Engineer they see no reason why another URL couldn’t be used for FX.importer.ECBFeedURL as long as it delivers an XML with the same structure i.e., Cube elements with time, currency and rate attributes. However, it is up to Customers to test and validate any other URLs other than the default."

So if anyone has found one (preferably free), that would be a great help.

In addition to working with the European Central Bank, we also have a standardized feed with the Bank of Canada.  In place of your above URL instead use:

www.bankofcanada.ca/.../xml

Please be sure to also update the FX.importer.sourceClass application parameter to largesoft.bkgproc.fxrate.BOCFXRateImportSource if you are switching the source of your exchange rates.  Looking at the latest file produced by the Bank of Canada, they do contain exchange rates for Peruvian Nuevo Sol (PEN) but are missing the other two rates you are looking for.  You can always swap to this feed, and then build an external interface for the other two rates or input them manually into SAT at whatever desired frequency (exchange rates will be looked up by the most recent entry provided based upon the date of the expense).
