Garnishments - Division of Child Support in ACH Output for FSM

Hi all - we are working on a migration from S3 to FSM. We are having an issue with our ACH file output not including all the necessary details for a garnishment for the division of child support. We have the addenda row created (row starting with 7) but we are missing all the necessary details for the garnishment defined in the NACHA Child Support guide. How are others getting garnishment details added in a ACH output file? Any details would be helpful! Thank you!

FSM expects the comments to be on the invoice with specific names to get it to create correctly from what I can tell. If you're getting the invoices from s3 payroll via global financial controller or GHR Payroll, it should do it automatically. But if not, here's what I see in the various comments:

PR-GARN-1 = File Number

PR-GARN-2 = SSN Case Number (separated by a space)

PR-GARN-3 = Employee Name (last, first mi)

PR-GARN-4 = Y

I don't remember what the actual field for PR-GARN-4 is but it is Y for all the records that come from v10 payroll for me. If you're importing, I believe there is a field in payablesinvoiceinterface to denote a record as a garnishment as well but can't think of it off the top of my head. it isn't available on the maintenance screen online though.

Thanks, Robert! We must be close as that is how we have our test Invoice set up. Do you know if the "Type" in the comments needs to be different? - right now ours is set to "All" for each of the PR-GARN comments. Or maybe it is in our parameter set up that is incorrect - is there a certain parameter that we need to check to make sure the PR-GARN comments flow in the ach output?

They're set to All type on my side as well so that doesn't appear different. I'm not sure if there are any other parameters to set. The only other place that I know mentions comments is in the Cash Requirements so make sure it is set to include comments there.

Hi Robert - do you have a Sequence number assignment on these comments? We are still struggling to get this to work properly. We have the 4 PR-GARN comments, however, we found we could only get the first comment to flow onto the output file and only if the Type = Invoice Payment Addendum. We also cannot find any documentation on this which is unfortunate.

I put in a case a while ago. I was told in HCM to change the Garnishment Rule so that electronic file is checked.
