Windows 7 using Visual MFG 6.5.3 with Oracle 11g

Infor has Windows 7/Visual MFG 6.5.3 not supported

I have Windows 7/Visual MFG 6.5.3/Oracle 11g client version 2 working fine. I haven't been able to get Visual MFG CRM working yet but haven't gave up yet.

I would like to see if anyone working with Windows 7/Visual MFG 6.5.3/Oracle 11g client version 2. I want to know if any one has suggestions on this.

I would like to start updating new desktops/laptops with Windows 7 to move forward but afraid to without supported software Visual MFG 6.5.3. Oracle 11g client version 2 works great with windows 7.

Visual 6.5.2 seems to work OK on Windows 7 (with either the 11.1.0.7 client, 11.2.0.1 client, or possibly 10.2.0.5 client - just getting ready to test this), although I do not have CRM. I understand that the "Object Packager" does not exist in Windows 7, which could make it impossible to view part pictures that have been saved into the database.

Specifically, what problems are you having with CRM?

If nothing else works, Microsoft's free Windows XP virtual machine for Windows 7 might be a work-around:

Are these computers running 64 bit or 32 bit Windows 7?
