i'm curious to know if anyone else has had any issues after the october CU regarding any FTP files to or from ghr?   i'm currently experiencing issues with our File Channel monitoring an external non-infor FTP site.   the files were being transfered back to ghr with the incorrect folder structure when Before the weekend they had been transferring just fine.

i have however changed how we handle these files and am no longer receiving files from the external FTP server and having our process send the file directly to our infor MT FTP and it's doing so without issue.   what that's done is allow us to move forward and continue working but in the background i know there were new issues regarding ftp.  i've seen some updates regarding FTP on the known issues KB but had not seen anyone post in the communities about any FTP issues.

Hi Noe - We are on MT and had one issue that was throwing a "file not found". It was determined that the source directory file path as specified in File Channels ended with a slash character and that caused the system to not be able to locate the file in the correct directory structure. Removing the slash in the file path parameter fixed the issue. Infor Support has opened a defect JR regarding the issue. Check your file path parameters in File Channels. Good luck - Ray

this is what we had in our source file path -            inbox/massapproved

did you have a slash different than this?   before or after the filename?    we had this in place before the CU and i tested but what was happening is    the file was getting brought back IN to ghr and showing on the File Storage location but the filename no longer showed     inbox/massapproved/FILENAME           it was bringing the file back into GHR with    /FILENAME      where the IPA that is supposed to run would not run because it was not seeing the file with    /inbox/massapproved/     as the prefix to the filename.

Noe - we had dir/subdirectory/filename/ and changed it to dir/subdirectory/filename and that was set in File Channels FTP setup. If you are MT I would suggest leaving it for a bit as Infor is looking to make a change so that previous definitions and settings are backwardly compatible. If after the patch you are still having issues I would look at the system configurations Properties tab to see if the IPA has any variables in use there. Sounds like you have more than one place where an adjustment may need to be made or if all goes well it will self heal with the patch. Ray

There are two similar changes that are going in tonight as part of 2023.10.06

Landmark 2023.10.05 - Trailing slash on InProgress Directory results used to result in 'directory//file' now results in 'directory/file' (JR-6543629)

Landmark 2023.10.05 - Blank InProgress directory adds leading slash in FileStorage but not in fileName variable (JR-6540171)
