We are seeking to hold consignment items in select perpetual inventories. These items would be used in surgical procedures requiring procedural information to be included on the requisition and/or purchase order.
We are running into issues when trying to find a way to properly use the Inventory Vendor Reorder Advice + include the procedural information before the purchase order is sent to the vendor. The flag is obviously set at the item master level, but when running the Inventory Vendor Reorder Advice, there really is no space or opportunity (that we can find) to update the requisition with the procedural information and classify the purchase order as a bill and replace, allowing the vendor/supplier to properly re-stock the item after use in the surgical procedure.
Curious if anyone has tried to integrate consignment items in a perpetual inventory, with the intent to use them as described above and utilize the automated reorder tools in Inventory Manager?
